Wordless Wednesday - Ginger's Chair

At least that's what she thinks. If anyone tries to sit in the chair she forces herself into their lap, weather they like it or not.

Princess Has a Wiggly Tooth

We recently discovered Princess has her very first "Wiggly Tooth" as she calls it! I'm exited for her! She was even more exited, she had to tell all her friends as school first thing! There responses were either, "Let me see" or "So do I". I dont think they were quite as impressed as she wanted them to be. I think most of them have already begun loosing there baby teeth. Princess will be 7 next month and this is her first loose tooth!
She told me when kids loose teeth at school they get to go to the nurse and get a tooth necklace to put there tooth in! I'm going to have to find something for her to put it in if she looses it at home.... Then comes the Tooth Fairy...

My Theme Song Today - Torch by Alanis Morissette

Twice today I was listening to my IPod for a total time of about 45 minutes. I had it on one of my play-lists (called Girls Rule) that has 358 songs on it. Its on random shuffle and both times it played this song... It definitely fits me right now...

Torch by Alanis Morissette
I miss your smell and your style
And your pure abiding way
Miss your approach to life
And your body in my bed
Miss your take on anything
And the music you would play
Miss cracking up and wrestling
Our debriefs at end of day

These are the things that I miss
These are not times for the weak of heart
These are the days of raw despondence
And I never dreamed I would have to lay down my torch for you like this

I miss your neck and your gait
And your sharing what you write
Miss you walking through the front door
Documentaries in your hand
Miss traveling our traveling
And your fun and charming friends
Miss our Big Sur getaways
And to watch you love my dogs (our kids)

These are the things that I miss
These are not times for the weak of heart
These are the days of raw despondence
And I never dreamed I would have to lay down my torch for you like this

One step one prayer
I soldier on
Stimulating moving on

I miss your warmth and the thought
Of us bringing up our kids
And the part of you that walks with your stick-tied handkerchief

These are the things that I miss
These are not times for the weak of heart
These are the days of raw despondence
And I never dreamed I would have to lay down my torch for you like this

Curiosity Killed the Cat

Unless I kill her first...
What is it about the sound of glass breaking that's so unique? The sound catches your attention, and it travels through a house, from my dining room all the way upstairs to my bedroom.
My cat decided she needed to jump up to the 4 foot high shelf of my bookshelf that's in my dining room. In doing so, she knocked off a champagne flute that I got at my High School Prom 12 years ago...
This is all that's left.
Why did she have to break something that's irreplaceable... There were shards of glass EVERYWHERE! 12 feet across the room I found pieces... UGH I had to vacuum the whole room. Stupid Cat, I could have killed her. She has been driving me crazy lately. I have a furry Orange shadow. She follows me around the house all day demanding attention and attacking my legs and feet.

I will ask a question. The first person that comments, please answer my question. Then write a question of your own for the next person to answer. It can be any kind of question or even fill in the blank sentence. The crazier the question the better! This is a family friendly blog, so please keep it clean.
Then the next commenter will answer the question from the previous comment and write a new question, and so on and so on. (if someone forgets to leave a question answer mine).
My Question: Where do the gnomes hide in your house?

Unfortunately for me, because I am in HI the only UBP prizes I am eligible for is the international ones since shiping anything here is expensive... (Not that I ever win anything anyway) But If by chance I do, the only prize I would be interested in (because I definitely dont think I need a blog makeover, I am quite proud of my blog and matching twitter page that I designed myself!) is the INTL #4 - the Secret Bear World membership. Princess would love that!

Bobo Says (Things Kids Say)

A while ago Bobo began saying things to me that he either wants/expects me to say. Things that I would say on a regular basis to him. When he gets upset about something silly, he says "Goodness Sakes" (cause that's what I would say). He also says to himself "Its OK Bobo", (cause that's what I would say). Another one is, "There's My Bo". Which I say sometimes when I pick him up, or give him a hug.
It's so much cuter when he says it. He has recently become more vocal around other people as well. It used to be he was only talkative when it was just our family. He is finally getting over some of his shyness I think, at least around our neighbors who we see all the time.

By time Daddy gets home he will be having actual conversations...

And so it begins.....

I dont know what it is, but the second Hubby is gone, Shit goes wrong.
The day he left Princess broke the towel bar in her bathroom, she pulled it off the wall, hanging on it or something...
Then, I discovered our cat Ginger has tape worm. Eeewww. So I had to take her to the vet (Bobo in tow, Princess was in school at least). She got a dose of medicine from the vet. She has probably had it since before we got her. Which explains why she eats like crazy. I figured it was just because she was so active, she has gained weight since we got her (she was skinny). Luckily the medicine is only one dose. Have you ever tried to force a cat to take a pill? Its not fun. That's the last thing I want to have to do. Ginger will be fine.
Its just one more thing on my plate...

I'm 31 Years Old Today....

I despise the 3 in my age I'm still not use to it. I dont want to be 31. Can I turn it backwards and be 13 instead? Or how about I just -10 and I can be 21 again? I like that best! :)

Goodbye, Goodbye, Goodbye, Leave Already

I had to say "Goodbye" to him 3 times. Once is hard enough.
It took Hubby 3 times to leave on Deployment. The day he was originally scheduled to leave (day 1), we (me & the kids) took him over to the battery office where all the guys were going to get on the buses to go to the airport. There was a bouncy house and tables and chairs set up, all the wives and families were there. It was right around lunch time so we had planed ahead and took stuff for a picnic lunch. So we hung out for a while then had lunch and it was time for Hubby to get on the bus. We all said our goodbyes, took pictures together, yada yada.
I came home with the kids, not expecting to see him for 6 months.
Several hours later Hubby tells me that something is wrong with the planes GPS program and they wont be able to fix it till the next day? What? So, I go get him a few hours later.
(Day 2) Again, we take Hubby back over to the same place. Princess gets all exited thinking there's going to be a bouncy house again, but there's not. This time we just say our goodbyes (again) and drop him off.
All the guys are on the plane and waiting (for something, I dont know what) its getting stuffy on the plane so the flight attendants decide to open the door (they were not about to take off or anything) and when they do, the blow-up emergency slide opens up.... Really?! Are you F*in kidding me?
In order for the slide to be put back and the plane to fly again they need a part from somewhere else. So, again, Hubby comes back home.
Apparently this plane was scheduled to go to the airplane junkyard after it flies one last flight (that's comforting)...
(Day 3) First they say he will leave that evening, then it becomes the next day, then is changed back to that evening.... Make up your minds Dammit... Luckily it is decided that they will be flying on a different plane! That evening, again we take him back (again about the bouncy house). We drop him off and say our goodbyes, again. By this time Hubby is joking with me and keeps saying "Ill see ya in a bit". I kiss him goodbye and this time was it. He finally did leave.

It was a confusing double-egged sword. Yes, I got to have a few more days with him, but it was just delaying the inevitable. Its not like there was any chance in the world that his deployment would get canceled. I had to say goodbye to him 3 times. UGH. Once is hard enough. Not to mention, how confusing it was to the kids.

BTW, just so you know, both the planes, commercial planes flown by civilians, but they were not at a regular airport.

Blogoversary & 2,000th Comment

Today is my Blogoversary! My blog is 3 years old today! Over the last 3 years I have written 455 posts. Which is probably not a lot compared to some. But considering I have had several dry spells where I didn't blog at all for a while, I think its good.

Also, what I'm more exited about is, yesterdays WW post received the 2,000th comment from Brittany @ Two Crazy Cupcakes
Brittany is a new blogger! She just started blogging in January so chances are most of you have not met her yet. Which makes her a perfect winner! I will also be putting her blog badge on my sidebar for the next month. So hopefully that will bring lots of new visitors to her blog! Yeah for her! Stop on by and say "HI" to Brittany!
Thanks Brittany this award is for you!:
