Postcard Swap: Massachusetts, Maryland, Florida: 12-14 of 50

Massachusetts Fun Facts:
It is against the law to put tomatoes in clam chowder. - Boston built the first subway system in the U.S. in 1897 - There is a house in Rockport built entirely of newspaper (now that's what I call Recycling!) - Glaciers formed the islands of Nantucket & Martha's Vineyard - The first Thanksgiving days was celebrated in Plymouth in 1621 - The Boston University Bridge is the only place in the world where a boat can sail under a train going under a car driving under an airplane

Maryland Fun Facts:

Famous for; Crab-cakes and its rare population of wild horses on Assateague Island -
Most of Maryland's population is found in the suburbs of DC and Baltimore

Florida Fun Facts:
Named by Juan Ponce de Leon who landed on the peninsula in the year 1513 - Saint John's River of Florida is amongst those few rivers that flow north instead of south - Gatorade was named for the University of Florida Gators where the drink was first developed - The Florida Panther is the official state animal. The species is endangered, with only about 50 left in the wild.
