Postcard Swap: Louisiana 11 of 50

We got this one a few days ago!

Written on the back of the postcard:
"Louisiana became the 18th state on April 30, 1812
State Bird: Eastern Brown Pelican
State Flower: Magnolia Blossom
Lowest point: New Orleans (8ft below sea level)
Louisiana was named after the French explorer Sieur de La Salle in 1682 to honor King Louis XIV of France."

Every week a family from a different state sends out their postcards (in theory we should receive 1 card each week). Click the Topic link "Postcard Swap" below to see the other cards we have gotten so far!
