Curiosity Killed the Cat

Unless I kill her first...
What is it about the sound of glass breaking that's so unique? The sound catches your attention, and it travels through a house, from my dining room all the way upstairs to my bedroom.
My cat decided she needed to jump up to the 4 foot high shelf of my bookshelf that's in my dining room. In doing so, she knocked off a champagne flute that I got at my High School Prom 12 years ago...
This is all that's left.
Why did she have to break something that's irreplaceable... There were shards of glass EVERYWHERE! 12 feet across the room I found pieces... UGH I had to vacuum the whole room. Stupid Cat, I could have killed her. She has been driving me crazy lately. I have a furry Orange shadow. She follows me around the house all day demanding attention and attacking my legs and feet.

  1. Aww I'm sorry to hear that! I don't have a cat but I remember being really sad when a shelf fell off my wall and broke some irreplaceable things.

  3. I just found your blog via another military wife's...

Anyway, I feel like pets always do that! No matter if something you could replace was sitting right next to it, they break the one thing that you can't get back!

Sorry it is broken, at least you still have memories =)

  4. Oh no! See this is why we can't have nice things... that is why I don't like cats... they're too brave.
