Wordless Wednesday - Down-Town City Lights!

I have been wanting to go see the lights down-town for weeks now and we kept putting it off for one reason or another. But for the last week and a half every evening we wanted to go it has been raining... It has only sprinkled once for a little bit during the day yesterday so we finally decided to try and go. It started raining on the way down there... We ended up just having to drive by and take pictures from the car... O-well, I guess we will try again next year...

Randomness: Shopping, Obama, Baking and Rain, Oh-My....

It's been a busy week! Hubby is on leave, Princess is off school, lots of last minute shopping to do! We also have a house guest, the younger sister of one of Hubby's Marines is visiting for Christmas and he lives in the Barracks. She cant stay there with him, so she is staying with us! She is great with the kids, and they adore her, so its been fun for them!
I have been busy baking and grocery shopping today. I had to take some detours on my way to the commissary because President Obama was at the Golf course right down the street from my house! Also, we passed his car convoy on our way home from going out to breakfast this morning!

At what age is it inappropriate for a child to be in public without pants?

There is a mother who lives around my neighborhood who I see out walking with her daughter (who's probably around 2 years old) on a regular basis. Every time I see them, the little girl is wearing a shirt and a diaper.

Even lately when its been a little cool out in the mornings, the mother is wearing a jacket and pants, but the girl is still in just a shirt and a diaper....
At what age do you think its inappropriate for a child to be in public without pants on?

Thanksgiving Day Explosion!

I just realized I never did tell this story... Enough time has gone by now that I can laugh about it all, when at the time I was annoyed, embarrassed, a little angry even.
It's Thanksgiving, lots of people are bustling around my kitchen cooking, making messes, getting things ready for our fabulous dinner...
My son was being a little clingy at the moment and wanted me to pick him up and get him something to drink. So, while holding him, I walked over and opened the refrigerator.

$3,000 Fraud Avoided...

Hubby and I are laying in bed this morning when his cell phone rang... It was our credit card company calling with an automated message from the Fraud department asking to verify some recent charges... One if which was for $0.20 which we didn't recognize... (Why would we use a credit card for $0.20 right?) And with the automated voice we couldn't understand what the company name was. So the call got transferred to a human.
It turns out, the $0.20 was just a pre-authorization for a plane ticket costing over $3,000!!! We didn't buy that!!!

Aloha/Fun Follow/Feed Me "Friday" - Shop: Online or Store?

Aloha FridayThis Weeks Question:
Do you prefer to shop online or in the store?

A: Although I hate paying for shipping, I would rather shop online. So much easier to "shop around" for the best price online, no wasting gas driving all over town.

My Son Has Asperger Syndrome

Back in October both of my kids were tested for Asperger Syndrome. What caused me to seek out testing for them was actually because of my daughter. Princess has been doing Neurofeedback therapy since January to help with her ADHD and Tourette Syndrome. Several months ago her therapist told me she had noticed that Princess had some symptoms of AS. I began researching about Asperger's and the more I read the more it fit Princess. So I made the appointment to see about getting testing done. They had told me that it was likely if one child has Asperger's then the other will as well. So Hubby and I decided to go ahead and have both kids tested.
Oddly enough, I went in thinking Princess would get the diagnosis, I saw the signs with her, I didn't see them with Booboo.

Aloha Friday - Holiday / Christmas Decorations

Aloha Friday
This Weeks Question:
Are your Holiday / Christmas decorations up yet?

A: I put up most of my decorations at the beginning of November when I took down my Halloween decor. I needed Hubby's help with the lights outside, so those went up over the past week. The tree however is not up yet, only because we have a very mischievous kitty whom I DONT trust to leave the tree alone. So we have ordered a new cat deterrent thing online to keep her away from it. It should be here tomorrow, so we can put up our tree this weekend!!

"Hygiene on-the-go" QwikShower Wipes Review

I recently received a review sample of QuickShower Wipes and I gave them to Hubby to test out; he described it as "a huge baby wipe". Compared to a baby wipe, QuickShower Wipes are over twice the size, more durable for cleaning the whole body and have a clean soap smell (no smelling like baby powder).
Hubby goes out to the field several times a year (for over a month at a time) to train. He is basically "camping" and doesn't get a real shower for days on end. QuickShower Wipes will be perfect for him when he's in the field!

QuickShower Wipes were designed for stinky, sweaty, kids and tweens/teens to use after gym class, but the uses are growing!!
Camping, hiking, traveling, sports, after a workout, quick clean-ups, anytime your sweaty/stinky and cant get to a shower! Great to keep in your car; had to change a tire on the side of the road, spilled drinks/food, potty accidents. The possible uses are endless!

How would you clean puke out of a rug?

O-The joys of being a parent...
This morning my "Little Drama Queen" was complaining because she said she was "starving".. (Well that's what happens when she doesn't want to finish her dinner the night before) It took her longer than usual to get herself dressed and downstairs. I gave her one of her favorite breakfasts to eat (Dinosaur Oatmeal) thinking it would hurry her up. NO, she still sat there nibbling on her food.
After only a few bites she insisted she wasn't hungry anymore. I asked her if she felt sick and wanted to stay home, but she wanted to go to school...
She went to school and not even 30 minutes after school started the nurse called me to come pick her up, she felt sick and wanted to come home...
I got Princess home and she was in her bedroom when she puked, all over herself and the rug in her bedroom...

I had an Awesome Weekend!

Saturday was the Marine Corp Ball! The Ball is held every November to celebrate the Birthday of the Marine Corp which was November 10, 1775! The Ball was held at a nice resort on the other side of the island! We got a limo to get there and shared it with 4 other couples! We had so much fun! I think that's the most fun we have had at a ball yet and this was my 5th ball!
This pic is just a sneak peak of me and my cutie pie Hubby! Check out Wordless Wednesday for more pictures of us at the Ball and me in my Awesome dress!!

Also, to top off my weekend, I went to see "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows" (part 1) yesterday!!! It was AWESOME!!!

Aloha Friday - Are You HTML/CSS Savvy?

Aloha Friday
This Weeks Question:
Are you HTML/CSS Savvy?

A: I am Now, and self taught I am proud to say! I have learned a lot across the internet thanks to lots of other blogs and websites who post about blogger hacks, CSS tips, etc etc... I have a somewhat Obsessive Compulsive need to constantly tweak and change my blog and make it look exactly the way I want it too. If you ever see anything on my blog you want to learn how to do or add to yours, just ask. I may start writing posts about blog tweaks I have learned on my own. I'm definitely not afraid to play around with my template code (as long as I back it up first). If I want to do something I will eventually figure out how. Trial and error....

Postcard Swap: NEVADA 16 of 50

I Love Las Vegas, its so much fun! Not to mention, Hubby and I were married there! I have been there 4 times and cant wait to go again someday after we get back to the Mainland!

Nevada Fun Facts (written on the back of the postcard):
Hoover Dam is the largest single public works project in the history of the United States, contains 3.25 million cubic yards of concrete, which is enough to pave a two-lane highway from San Francisco to New York.

Ginger Got a Whisker Cut

The other day, I picked up my kitty Ginger to give her some luvin and when I looked at her face I noticed something odd. Hubby was sitting next to me and I asked him "What's wrong with her whiskers? Don't they look weird, like they have been cut"?

Show YOUR Finesse, with The Rose Dress

I am so excited for the Marine Corp Ball on November 20th!! I cant wait to get my dress!! If you missed my previous post I ordered my dress online from TheRoseDress.com They have an Awesome selection! My friend B. (pictured below, doesn't she look Awesome!) ordered her dress from there and told me about the site. I haven't bought a new dress for the ball in Years and the last time I did, my dress had to fit me while I was pregnant... Its not as fun to dress shop when your pregnant. But if you needed to, The Rose Dress, would have something for you! In fact, I saw a picture on The Rose Dress Facebook page of a very pregnant woman (with her Marine) in a beautiful (non-maternity) dress!
There is a dress for EVERY occasion! Divided into category's such as, "Evening", "Cocktail", "Mother of the Bride", "Pageant", "Plus Size", so many to choose from I had a hard time narrowing it down to just one! But, I will need another dress next year!

My friend B., doesn't she look Awesome!!!
