Snow Day - LOL

We had a "Snow Day" yesterday. School was canceled, traffic was a mess, even Hubby didn't have to go into work until 10:00 AM.
How much snow did we get you ask? Maybe an inch if even that. LOL. I laugh because I grew up in Colorado, where schools didn't get canceled unless there was a blizzard. I'm talking at least 6 inches of snow.
It's just too funny. But that's what its like being on the East Coast where it rarely ever snows. We have been here for 3 years now and up until yesterday I had not seen anything but a few flurries. Once they stuck to the ground but were melted 30 minutes later....
The snow is still on the ground today. But it is supposed to be in the 70's over the weekend!
I don't like snow and cold, I prefer not to freeze my butt off, I like warm weather. And I cant wait till it gets here and stays! The first day of spring is March 20!

  1. Ha ha. I hear ya on the east coast panic thing. We had our evening church canceled Sun BEFORE any snow had even hit and they had already canceled schools for Mon by 9pm on Sun night. BEFORE the snow came!!

  2. Not a cold person, either. Around here we don't get snow days. We get hurricane days (ten this year! It took a special state referendum to keep the schools from having to flunk everyone).
