Princess got excepted to a Magnet School!!!!!

I am so exited!
Last month Princess went in for testing at an Elementary Magnet School. We got a letter in the mail yesterday, she got excepted! The end of July she will be going there for Kindergarten! It's a year round school and they wear uniforms. Both of those concepts are foreign to me but I like the idea of both. As long as there is a skirt option Princess wont care about the clothes. - She would wear a dress/skirt every day if I let her. - And all in all I think year round school is better. She gets 6 weeks off for summer break (instead of 3 months). And the spring and winter breaks two weeks each.
Also, her friend got excepted too! Our friends I should say. I am friends with her best friends mom. It works out great! Its so funny it happened that way. Me and the other mom both take our kids to and from school. We started chatting while we waited and became friends.
Anyway, its a great school and I am so exited! I told Princess and she thought her and her friend were going to her new school today. Silly little girl.

Traveling with children - My Lifesaver

By the way, I forgot to mention the best thing I had during my travels through the airport. I don't know what I would have done without it. And many people stopped me to ask where I got it and tell me what a great thing it is.

It attaches to the back of a stroller so a bigger child can stand on it and ride along! I know its a little expensive but WELL worth it. Other sites sold it for $100 I searched around and found Amazon had it for the best price. Check for yourself.

Craft of the Week - Frog Puppet

Frog Puppet

You will need:
2 paper plates (head)
green (legs) & black (pupils) construction paper
green & pink paint
2 cotton balls - (eyes)
glue & tape
party blow horn - see picture - (tongue)

Cut four strips of green paper, 1 inch wide by 11 inch long, fringe ends (legs). Fold accordion like. Paint the bottom of one plate green and the top of the other plate pink. Let dry and glue together unpainted sides, inserting two legs on each side of plate (see picture). Fold in half to form mouth, pink plate should be inside. Cut hole in center of fold to stick end of horn through, tape into place. Glue cotton balls on outside for eyes. Cut small black circles/squares of paper for pupils, glue onto tip of cotton ball.

Once all is dry, let kids blow the horn!

I got this idea from my daughters school! I hope I explained it well.

What we did on Vacation

It was great to see our family and friends. I am never traveling with my two kids by myself again. At least not until their much, much older, late teens, maybe 30's. LOL.
So the traveling part was exhausting but we had a good time once I had sleep.
Saturday April 5th was my birthday so my sister had a party for me!
Monday night I turned off Mom Mode and went to dinner with a friend and her husband (whom I had never met). We went to Chipotle, Mmmmm so good, I miss Chipotle. I don't have near home.
Thursday we were supposed to go birthday shopping but it SNOWED, yuck, so we decided to stay inside.
Friday was the best, we went to the Children's Museum! It was so much fun, Princess really enjoyed herself and had a good time. There was even a room just for babies and toddlers so Little Man roamed free! He loved it, he could crawl wherever he wanted it was all safe for him.
Saturday we had the long flights back home and were 30 minutes late getting in. By time we got near the house it was after 8 pm so I picked up McDonald's for dinner, And we had to wait and extra 10 minutes until our chicken was ready - So much for "Fast" food.
Now were back to our usual routine....

Tuesday Toot: Go Paperless - Unpacked

This is my first Tuesday Toot and I have two toots today! LOL
First, and I challenge everyone to follow my lead if you have not done this already:
GO PAPERLESS (paperless billing). Get all your bill statements online. You're reading this so you obviously have Internet access. Do it, whats your excuse not too. Less paper to deal with, less mail and clutter. And most importantly - It's better for the environment. By the way, I also Recycle. Toot Toot!

Second, we got home from vacation late Saturday night. I hate packing, hate unpacking more. I usually put off the unpacking for several days. Well I'm glad to say I finished it all on Sunday - The next day! I was proud of myself. Toot Toot!

I'm back from Vacation

Hello, did you miss me? I guess not, only one person wanted to play my game (thanks for playing L.A. Mama). How sad, that or you could not think of any songs. But I gave you one for Monday.
Anyway, that's fine, I see how it is. I have been thinking of making the game "Musical Monday". Every Monday Ill ask you to post something musical related. What do you think? Will you play? I personally love music, I can hear a certain song on the radio and start sobbing. Maybe I'm just weird.

Anyway, that's all for now. Ill tell you about my vacation tomorrow, need to go to bed now. I have had two busy days in a row again... We flew in last night and I unpacked today, Ugh, I am never doing that again (traveling by myself with two kids).

Musical Madness Game

Lets test your Musical Knowledge. This is a week long game. (Post on your site or leave a comment here) Every day list a Song title & the artist, of a song about that day of the week.
For example: We all know "Manic Monday" by The Bangles, that would be the song to list on Monday.
Please don't jump ahead, only list song for the particular day of the week. But if your starting the game late or missed the previous day then you can list a song for previous days. So whatever Happy "Day" is below give me a song to go with it!
(Mon. April 7 - If you dont know a song to go with the day you can still play by challenging your blog readers to come up with a song.)

And use Mr. Linky so everyone knows whos playing.
Have fun, see you when I get back from Vacation!
