History Class - (10 years from now)

This thought keeps entering my mind every now and then:
One day, my daughter will be in a High School History class and the teacher will begin a lesson about the War – Operation Iraqi Freedom. She will raise her hand and tell the class that her dad was in Iraq in the march to Bagdad. She will have some interesting souvenirs to show the class as well. We have money with Saddam’s Picture on it…..
It’s so weird to think that one day she will be learning about this in school. Maybe she will pay more attention in History Class than I did.

  1. this post gave me goosebumps :)

my husband was in iraq twice.

  2. We have some of the Saddam money also - hubby brought it home last time he was in Iraq. I figured it would make a great history project in a few years ;) Something positive, right?

Yeah, I think of that about the Twin Towers also. So, so weird ...

  3. I stumbled upon your blog and I can relate to so much!

I was cleaning thru our playroom/my storage depot and found some things from one of hubs deployment when the war had first started and I thought the SAME thing that you posted on. My kid will raise their hands and say "oh yeah we have the Iraqi most wanted poster". Strange to think about....
